Watchtower - Control And Resistance (1989)

Ron Jarzombek是我很喜愛的一位吉他英雄，他所領軍的Watchtower也因此長駐在我隨身mp3裡。這張專可以感覺到融合多元的曲風，更能聆聽Ron細膩的吉他技巧，他到底有多優?看看Marty Friedman對他的評價吧!(以下文章為PTT轉貼而來，感謝原作者翻譯)

「世上有許多傑出的吉他手，不過迄今為止最偉大的金屬吉他手是James Hetfield。數十年來，他寫出了許多令數以百萬計金屬樂迷瘋狂甩頭的riff。他對於演奏傑出金屬樂的直覺無可媲美。我喜歡他的演奏，是如此地堅實、自信、緊湊，而當有需要時，他的solo也極具韻味。他是完美的金屬樂吉他手。他能邊彈邊唱這點也很驚人。Dave Mustaine在這方面也很擅長。不過說到技巧的話，沒人比得上Ron Jarzombek。」

Symphony X - Iconoclast (2009)

Symphony X是我接觸較早的前衛團之一，不過這幾年的專輯都有點偏向Power Metal太多，剛好對不到我的胃口，讓我失望了好久了，不過這張新專輯，似乎又找回Progressive的感覺回來，香腸手的吉他功力和Russell Allen的嗓音還是一樣很優。

Toxic Holocaust - Hell On Earth (2005)

Toxic Holocaust基本上是Joel Grind的one-man band，這老兄早在首專Evil Never Dies發布的幾年前就已經在地下圈頗負盛名了，一堆demo和split都是愛好者蒐集的對象，黑鞭的味道挺像德國三巨頭，但又不時參雜crossover的硬蕊，這幾天replay了這張久違好幾年的專輯，依然感到熱血沸騰。

Dan Swanö - Moontower (1999)

Dan Swanö是我超喜歡的一條龍音樂奇才!從他較早期的Edge of Sanity開始，作品都有很高的水準，這張專輯雖然也是屬於Progressive Death這類型，不過這個Progressive是比較算Prog-Rock那種(我在說甚麼? lol)，樂評說這是"Rush在玩死金"，哈哈，有傳神!!

Slash - Slash (2010)

聽完這張同名專輯後，最大的感想就是，Slash的編曲和吉他功力離GNR時代的確產生落差了，最明顯的就是末曲GNR經典的天堂之城，guitar tone也不像GNR時那麼飽和(經典的Les Paul)，不過此專倒是跨越了不同的genre (看看主唱就知道這張是多元化的)，最讓我驚豔的是曲三Fergie的表現，對她的印象還留在黑眼豆豆的兄弟應該會嚇一跳!至於其他曲，恩，看tracklist就值得期待。

Municipal Waste - Hazardous Mutation (2005)

上次PO文時間...四年前...難怪我覺得blog裡面蜘蛛網那麼多，從隔壁場子偷渡一點東西來充充版面好了。
Municipal Waste是耳痛這幾年出品的好團之一，這幾年一些耳痛出品的新生代鞭團真是大有可為，尤以SSS、Evile和本篇主角我最喜愛，Municipal Waste不僅維持著老學校的風格，又有crossover的爆發性，值得聆聽。
